None Laboring Thoughts from Labor Day

Labor Day Weekend | The Fresh Exchange

I wanted to share a few images from our weekend we had hanging around in Traverse City. It was nothing special. In fact I am glad it wasn’t. It was quiet and we had one of the best sails of the Summer with my parents.

It felt like this refreshing breath of Summer and almost made me feel as if there was no way Summer was coming closer to the end. Sure it was stormy and rainy on and off all weekend, but I have to say that Lake Michigan knows how to show herself off when she gets fiesty and moody.

This weekend left me very thankful for these few months here and for getting time to reflect on what has happened and what is ahead. Those times are important and I hope that this weekend allowed you time to get away just long enough to find time to be think about the last few months.

The week after a long weekend is always a little rough, so I hope you are falling back in to the groove nicely. Now go make something magical.

  1. Beautiful pictures! My husband and I followed some of your advice from your Traverse City Guide and LOVED everything that you recommended! Friday morning was raining but we still made the hike to Pyramid Point after breakfast at Frenchie’s Famous. That restaurant is really unique and the food was really great. We continued on to Good Harbor & Verterra Wineries then had lunch at Cheese Shanty. The sun had come out by then and the Fishtown area is adorable. SO glad we went here and definitely will be back. We also stopped at 7 Monks for a craft beer. Lots of eating and drinking on our trip and so happy we had your recommendations! Thank you!! 🙂

  2. I know how you feel about transitioning into the week after a long weekend………. I’ll just say I’m so glad the weekend is closer! I love these photos… Looks so relaxing and gorgeous.
