Monday Words: Maya Angelou | The Fresh Exchange

Today is the beginning of Black History Month and we felt we really wanted to begin it with this quote from Maya Angelou. After spending time in Cape Town and learning so much about the history there amongst white and black cultures and then returning the states where we are struggling to find harmony we felt this was a good reminder that love can make all the difference.

Our hope for this month is that we all can find time to love someone who is very different than us in some way or another. We would love to challenge each of you to get to know someone’s story, really listen, and work to place yourself in their shoes. The more we know the less blind we are to how small our bubble is we may live in. We all have a story to tell, but we also have to spend time hearing as many from other’s as possible.
