There are certain things in life that I have found that instantly make me feel happy. Last Friday I woke up in one of those terrible moods, you ever have had one before? They are no fun right?! I am always trying very hard to remain as positive and drama free as possible, but something snapped in me on Friday and I thought I was going to throw everything off my desk and say a long string of four letter words. Instead I tried to find a happy place. I stopped what I was doing, walked away and tried to find the things that make me happy and calm . Do you have these things? How do you deal with feelings like this when they happen?
Sometimes I jam to a happy song like this one or this one and dance like a fool. A lot of times it involves a small glass of wine or bowl of ice cream. But on Friday I found myself cleaning…umm yes cleaning. Something I honestly hate and I kind of am no good at. I love a clean space but I hate making it happen. It lands right up there with laundry and dishes as my least favorite things to do. For Mike those things have some therapeutic element to them and for whatever reason it seemed to do the same to me on Friday. It was probably a good thing as we had friends coming over, but still that was what put me in a better mood even though I tried a beer and Project Runway prior. ha.
Anyways, I thought I would share since it is not often I get these volcanic feelings and I thought it would be interesting to hear how you all pull out of the slump yourself. 90% of the time I am one of the most relaxed and laid back people you may ever know but sometimes something hits a nerve and I get in this funk, I am sure I am not alone.
