2 weeks and counting

All this time that I have been blogging and talking about wedding things I realize I never let any of you in on my wedding.

We are within sight of the finish line and the stress is inducing weight loss, which is good in some respects and life is beginning to have this air of extreme excitement and anxiousness. I cannot wait to walk down the aisle toward Mike and to become his wife and him my husband. I am excited about celebrating late into the night with our closest family and friends that we haven’t seen in way too long. Marriage and weddings have a beauty that can only be experienced and I jut can’t wait to feel all that love of our family and friends over the next few weeks. It is almost overwhelming to think about it all.

But I thought I would drop in some images that have been hiding away on my desktop as I have been planning the wedding. I thought I would give you guys a little experience of what will be Mike and I’s wedding day.

We wanted a day that was about celebration and very much celebrated who our families are Northern Michiganders and Texans. Totally two opposites but we have merged the shabby with the chic and done plenty of DIY. We plan on having a BBQ, Shiner Bock, Labatt’s, Michigan wine, and dancing the night away to Bob Seger and George Strait. The reason we decided to do this was because to us this is a celebration of two families coming together through the marriage of two people (Mike and I) and we wanted to bring all the elements together that have made us who we are and ultimately the reasons why we simply couldn’t live without one another.

So enjoy experiencing a little of what our day will be. Think relaxing summer evening, big barn, wood floors, twine, paisley, mason jars, hand painted signs and table numbers, and bistro lighting. Yeah I am in love with it haha.
